UNIQLO U: In-Store Campaign
UNIQLO U - SPRING/SUMMER 2024

In my multifaceted role as a graphic designer, creative director, and lead fabricator, I orchestrated a harmonious collaboration across multiple disciplines to conceive, construct, and animate a compelling stop-motion advertisement for UNIQLO’s 2024 Spring/Summer Uniqlo U collection. Drawing upon my expertise in graphic design, I worked closely with my team to conceptualize visually striking compositions and cohesive branding elements that would resonate with the brand’s identity and ethos. With a focus on composition, color theory, and layout design to ensure each frame conveyed the collection’s essence with clarity and impact.
As a creative director, I guided the project’s overarching vision, inspiring my team to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation. Collaborating with story/concept, advertising and animation majors, we were able to craft a miniature graphic fitting room and designed garments that captured the collection’s aesthetic while adhering to UNIQLO’s standards of quality and craftsmanship. Through constant communication and feedback, we fostered a collaborative environment where ideas flowed freely, resulting in a final product that exceeded expectations in both form and function.

With our collective expertise and dedication to excellence, our cross-disciplinary collaboration culminated in a stop-motion advertisement that not only showcased the Spring/Summer Uniqlo U collection but also served as a testament to the power of creative synergy. By seamlessly integrating graphic design principles with fabrication and animation techniques, we crafted a visually captivating narrative that resonated with audiences worldwide, solidifying UNIQLO’s position as a trailblazer in the retail industry.

I was responsible for the armature in the left most body, the character’s head and hair sculpts, clothing patterns drafting (excluding the dress), mock up, laser cut file preparation, fabrication of fitting room stalls, and editing/compositing the final video.
